CONEXPO Asia and World of Concrete Asia Launched

Bethesda, MD, April 21, 2005 - The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and Hanley Wood LLC have agreed to co-locate two construction industry trade shows in China, with the first event scheduled for Beijing in May of 2006. The co-located expositions will be titled CONEXPO Asia and World of Concrete Asia.

AEM will own and produce CONEXPO Asia while Hanley Wood will own and produce World of Concrete Asia. E.J. Krause & Associates, as one of China's leading and most experienced organizers, will provide exhibition management to the co-located shows and will hold an equity interest in both CONEXPO Asia and World of Concrete Asia.

The AEM-Hanley Wood plan calls for the co-located CONEXPO Asia and World of Concrete Asia shows to be held on a triennial basis beginning with the 2006 expositions. Show organizers intend the co-located expositions to be part of a three-year cycle of global construction industry shows alternating with CONEXPO-CON/AGG in North America and BAUMA in Germany.

AEM and Hanley Wood will also collaborate to develop and hold a combined education program featuring separate tracks for CONEXPO Asia and World of Concrete Asia, based on the products represented in each show.

New China Shows Benefit from Organizers' Expertise

The new China exhibitions build on the international marketing and trade show organizational success of the producers. AEM's exposition activities include owner and producer of CONEXPO-CON/AGG, the largest construction and construction materials exposition in the Western Hemisphere. Hanley Wood's exhibitions division produces 15 trade shows, including World of Concrete, the largest annual commercial construction show and one of the top 20 shows in the U.S., as well as World of Concrete Mexico, launched in 2004. E.J. Krause & Associates has more than 20 years of experience organizing events in China and international exhibitions around the world, including World of Concrete Mexico with Hanley Wood.

Co-locations Offer Expanded Outreach to Chinese, Asian Customers

Beijing was chosen as the location for the first co-located event because of its importance as the economic center and capital of China, the largest market for the growth and development of the global construction industry.

Exhibitors to Include Local and International Companies

Exhibitors will include manufacturers of equipment, products and services related to the construction industry in China and Asia, and producers expect exhibitors from these regions as well as international companies. The co-located shows will be locally influenced events. This will include E.J. Krause China's show organizing expertise and the on-site support of AEM's Beijing office.
