PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2004, a new chapter in the continuing success story of the leading telecommunications/IT event in Asia.
56,000 square meters of exhibit space, 700 exhibiting companies, and more than 300,000 attendees made this year's show the largest telecommunications/IT event ever held in China.
Bethesda, MD, January 4, 2005 - PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2004, Asia's largest telecommunications/IT exhibition and conference is a truly unique industry event that has been universally embraced by global technology suppliers and network service providers across the world. From October 26-30, 2004 in Beijing, US/Canadian, European and Asian technology firms successfully implemented their strategies for market penetration in the world's single most important market for telecom/IT growth and development.
E.J. Krause & Associates, Inc. (EJK) and EXPOCOMM EVENTS LLC together with PTAC, on behalf of the Ministry of Information Industry, and CIEC, on behalf of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, have been the co-organizers of the PT/EXPO COMM CHINA exhibition and conference since its inception. Spanning two decades, an impressive 8,400 exhibiting companies have participated in the exhibition during its long history in the China market.
The Chinese government has introduced increased competition in the telecommunications sector to fulfill its commitments to the WTO and to respond to demands from a growing number of subscribers for better services. CHINA TELECOM, CHINA NETCOM, CHINA MOBILE, CHINA UNICOM, CHINA SATCOM and CHINA TieTong CORPORATION dominate network capacity and voice/data services in China. These major carriers have embraced PT/EXPO COMM CHINA as their national procurement event to connect with telecommunications equipment manufacturers and technology suppliers from all over the world.
Additionally, China's wireline and wireless carriers have selected PT/EXPO COMM CHINA as their primary promotional platform to recruit new residential and business/corporate subscribers. This new competitive telecom sector for wireless communications, WLANS, ADSL, increased Internet access, and improved customer relations management will define procurement programs for China's major public network operators and enterprise network operators for years to come.
The dates for the next PT/EXPO COMM CHINA event, which will be held October 23-27, 2007, have already been officially announced by EJK, PTAC and the Ministry of Information Industry. In response to ITU TELECOM 2006 scheduled for Hong Kong, the next PT/EXPO COMM CHINA event will change its normal even year rotation to the odd year in 2007. During the 2004 show a rebook program was organized for PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2007 in order to ensure that 2004 exhibitors were guaranteed prime exhibit space for the 2007 event. At this point, more than 50% of the 2004 exhibitors have already signed exhibit space contracts three years in advance to participate in the next PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2007 exhibition and conference in Beijing.
